Computer Lab News: Week 9

Week 9 was election week in the Computer Lab. All grades, with the exception of 4th Grade, learned about the candidates for President and some aspect of the election process. Each student also visited our Voting Booth and selected their choice for the next President/Vice President. The results of our election will be posted Monday night or Tuesday morning after 4th Grade has a chance to vote.

Kindergarten through 2nd Grade learned about the symbols of the United States and colored election related pictures in KidPix. Did any of these make it home for you to see? Some of these were quite colorful. 3rd Grade learned about the Rights & Responsibilities and what it means to be a citizen. 5th & 6th Grade learned about Presidential Elections and reviewed where the major candidates stand on some of the issues as they waited to vote. 7th & 8th Grade reviewed the history of political parties and the presidential election process including information about the Electoral College. They also reviewed where the major candidates stand on some of the issues as they waited to vote.

Due to St. Martin’s Day rehearsals and after school sports all of 4th Grade was never in the computer lab at the same time so they used the week as a catch up week and spent some time practicing math facts on Tutpup.
